GE Renewable Energy has signed a cooperation agreement with Arroyo Energy Compania de Energias Renovables Limitada to supply six 3.
6 megawatt (MW) wind turbines for a total of 21.
8 MW, which is GE Renewable Energy's first wind turbine order
in Chile.

Chile plans to generate at least 60% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2035, rising to 70%
by 2050.
Among them, by 2030, Chile wants to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 30%
compared to 2007 levels.
Julio Friedmann, CEO of GE Chile, called the order a "huge step" for the region's
business.
