Recently, LANXESS announced that Chinese automaker Geely has selected LANXESS as the preferred supplier of innovative front-end carrier (FE) structural components for use in upcoming passenger car models

LANXESS’s innovative components use the most advanced hybrid design solutions, surpassing the traditional square/rectangular front-end carrier structure

Xu Junjie, project manager of the LANXESS High Performance Materials (HPM) business unit, said that LANXESS engineering plastics aims to support customers to achieve maximum component performance and efficient processing

To achieve these goals, the company has established Pocan and Durethan EF and XF product lines, including a wide range of easy-flowing polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and polyamide 6 and polyamide 66 grades

In addition, LANXESS has also developed high-modulus thermoplastics with a glass fiber content of 50% and above

These products show exceptionally high stiffness and strength, and despite their high filler content, they can still be processed as easily and efficiently as similar standard materials
