Gene research or new treatments for acne

large-scale genetic research on acne patients could lay the foundation for new treatments. The study analyzed the DNA of 27,000 people, including 5,000 people with severe acne, and identified genetic differences that were more common in people with the disease. The results were published in the journal Nature Communications.
study found that many genetic variants affect hair follicle formation, making it an important but previously unknown risk factor in acne production.
