    German natural gas imports fall sharply

    Recently, statistics released by the German Federal Agency for Economics and Exports (BAFA) show that from January to May this year, the import volume of natural gas in Germany fell by 29%, but the import value increased by 160.


    BAFA said that from January to May, Germany's natural gas imports were 1,763,200 trillion joules (TJ), much lower than the 2,287,260 TJ in the same period last yea.


    Meanwhile, Germany's natural gas imports surged to 23 billion euros in January-May from 11 billion euros a year earlier, as supply disruptions caused gas prices to soar to record level.
