According to Ghana's "Daily Photo" report on January 5, according to data provided by the Ghana Forest Commission, Ghana exported 279,532 wild animals and 2,114,184 cubic meters of wood in the past five years, valued at 185 million US dollars

In the first three quarters of 2021, Ghana exported $2 million of wildlife and exported 224,599 cubic meters of timber worth €103 million

The exported animals are mainly reptiles, snakes, lizards, turtles, amphibians, birds and insects

Ghana 's wildlife law has been approved by the Cabinet and is awaiting final approval from Parliament
