Globe Telecom is exploring potential partnerships for new submarine cable systems to expand its international network capacity
    .

Ernest Cu, president and CEO of Globetelecom, said discussions were underway on a globally planned submarine cable system
    .

"We are often in ongoing negotiations
with all these cable systems that are being planned worldwide.
They all have different routes, they all have different aspects of consideration, and we have to find the path
    that suits us.

"We've been in business for many years, and once we reach a certain threshold in terms of capacity usage, it triggers investment in
    these cable systems," Ernest said.

Once the agreement is signed with other parties, an announcement
will be made at the appropriate time.
However, the construction of the cable system takes many years, so it may take 2-3 years from construction to production, so it needs to be carried out
    gradually.

Global Telecom, which continues to lead the Philippines region, will address the growing demand for Internet services through the US$250 million Southeast Asia-United States (SEA-US) submarine cable system, launched in 2017 to enable a direct connection between the Philippines and the United States for richer international connectivity
