Glycan microarrays are presentations of multiple glycans or glycoconjugates printed on a single slide for screening with glycan-bindingproteins (GBPs), which include lectins, antibodies, bacteria, and viruses. Glycans derivatized with functional groups canbe immobilized onto appropriately activated glass slides to generate glycan microarrays where each glycan is printed at similarconcentrations. Here we describe a method for fluorescently and functionally derivatizing free reducing glycans, printingmicroarrays, and interrogating the microarrays with GBPs.
