    According to Google, Google has obtained permission to build, land and operate the Grace Hopper cable system, an undersea cable system
    connecting the United States, the United Kingdom and Spain.

    Grace Hopper will have a main line from Lumen's existing landing station in New York (USA) to its landing facility in Bude (UK), as well as a single branch connecting a branch of the trunk line to the existing landing facility
    in Bilbao.

    According to reports, the trunk line has a total length of 6,354 kilometers and consists of 16 pairs of fibers, while the Spanish branch line will extend 837 kilometers, including 16 pairs of fibers

    The total design capacity of each pair of fibers is approximately 22Tbps (total design capacity is approximately 352Tbps).

    Google plans to start commercial operations
    of the system in 2022.
