On April 28, Gree Electric Appliances and photovoltaic company Yingli Group signed a contract at the 9th SNEC International Solar Energy Industry and Photovoltaic Engineering Exhibition to jointly launch household photovoltaic central air conditioning

At the end of 2013, Gree photovoltaic direct drive frequency conversion centrifuge was officially unveiled, the system combines solar energy with Gree permanent magnet synchronous frequency conversion centrifuge, can directly use solar power supply, Gree called "no electricity cost air conditioning", and began to promote photovoltaic air conditioning
in 2014.

In the first half of last year, Gree invited Wang Jianlin, chairman of Wanda Group, to the Gree photovoltaic air conditioning platform, and then Wang Jianlin and Dong Mingzhu, chairman of Gree Electric Appliances, jointly appeared in an advertisement on CCTV

Dong Mingzhu has promoted his own photovoltaic air conditioners on many occasions, and said that he is the first user
of Gree photovoltaic central air conditioners.
