Introduction: Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province began exporting 15 to 20 tons of fresh water fish to Hong Kong every day from Tuesday, Hong Kong Business Daily reported This marks the full resumption of Shunde freshwater fish export to Hong Kong According to reports, Shunde's aquaculture industry accounts for 65% of the total agricultural output value and is one of the largest freshwater fish breeding bases in the country There are three export companies in Shunde, with about 20 tons of freshwater fish exported to Hong Kong every day However, from August 20, affected by the "malachite green" incident, Shunde District stopped exporting all freshwater fish to Hong Kong According to the average unit price of 15000 yuan per ton, Shunde fresh water fish is blocked for one day, involving a value of more than 300000 yuan The head of Shunde aquatic chamber of Commerce said that after the suspension of fresh water fish export to Hong Kong, Shunde sent 15 eel samples, 10 turtle samples and 5 California perch samples (all of which are the main varieties of fresh water fish supplied to Hong Kong) from different farms to Guangdong provincial commodity inspection department to test the four indicators including malachite green, chloramphenicol and mercury, all of which were qualified according to the inspection report.
