    reporter yesterday from the Guangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau was informed that from January to August this year, Guangzhou port detected a total of 576 batches of non-conforming imported dangerous chemicals, weighing 19476 tons, an increase of 7.5% and 134.2%, respectively.
    this year, the Guangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has inspected and supervised 3108 batches of imported hazardous chemicals, weighing 439,753 tons, with a value of 490.2 million U.S. dollars. Imported products are mainly epoxy resin, polyurethane resin, toluene isocyanate,
    coatings
    and so on, mostly from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other countries and regions, mainly sold to the Pearl River Delta, radiation in southern China. Hazardous chemicals are mostly used in chemical, coatings, light industry and other industries production and processing.
    that the main reason for the non-conformity of these imported hazardous chemicals is the lack of hazardous publicity labels and safety data sheets, or the lack of hazardous public labels and safety data sheets do not meet the requirements of our standards. These non-compliant items will prevent personnel from identifying hazardous information about the goods in the first place when transporting, storing or using hazardous chemicals, which may result in improper operation and safety incidents.
    Inspection and Quarantine Bureau shall, in accordance with the law, supervise the enterprise to carry out strict rectification of the detected non-conforming imported hazardous chemicals and their packaging, and only after passing the inspection, it shall be allowed for sale and use.
