Recently, a research article was published in Gut, an authoritative journal in the field of medsci.

According to the standard protocol, the researchers investigated the proportion of Helicobacter pylori primary antibiotic resistance cases and their corresponding risk factors in 24 centers from 18 European countries, and collected the community during the period 2008-2017.

The researchers assessed the association between antibiotic consumption and resistance data using a generalized linear mixed model.

The resistance rates of Helicobacter pylori in 1211 adults included in the study were 21.

This study confirmed a positive correlation between the consumption of macrolides and quinolones and the corresponding Helicobacter pylori resistance.
