In recent months, Chinese pork prices have continued to decline
At the press conference of the State Council Information Office held on the same day, Liu Aihua, spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics of China and Director of the National Economic Comprehensive Statistics Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, said that China’s CPI (Consumer Price Index) was in a moderate upward trend in the first half of this year.
Statistics show that pork prices in China have fallen for 9 consecutive months year-on-year, with an average drop of 19.
Speaking of the future trend of pork prices, Liu Aihua said that with the continuous recovery of live pig production and the support of the national purchasing and storage policy, the price of pork in China is expected to remain stable
In the first half of the year, China's live pig production capacity continued to recover, and pork production increased by 35.
Regarding the later trend of CPI, Liu Aihua said that from the perspective of the three sectors that affect CPI, food prices have little pressure on the overall increase when there is a good harvest of grain and pork prices.
