Health Care Commission: 2 new confirmed cases, all imported from abroad

From 0:24 a.m. on September 8, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 2 new confirmed cases, all of which were imported from abroad (1 case in Shanghai and 1 case in Sichuan);
12 new cases were cured and discharged on the same day, 336 close contacts were released from medical observation, and the number of serious cases was the same as the previous day.
165 confirmed cases (of which 2 are serious cases) and 6 suspected cases have been imported from outside China. A total of 2597 confirmed cases, a total of 2432 cases of cured discharge, no deaths.
As of 2400 hours on September 8, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported that there were 165 confirmed cases (including 2 cases of severe illness), a total of 80,347 cases of cured discharge, 4,634 cumulative deaths, a total of 85,146 confirmed cases reported, and 6 suspected cases. A total of 820,397 close contacts were traced, and 6606 close contacts were still under medical observation.
31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 8 new cases of asymptomatic infection (all imported from abroad);
received a total of 5436 confirmed cases from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Of these,
4,895 cases (4,543 discharges, 99 deaths), 46 cases (46 discharges) in the Macao Special Administrative Region, and 495 cases (475 discharges and 7 deaths) in the
regions.
