Health Care Commission: 22 new confirmed 12 cases are imported from abroad

August 22, 0-24 hours, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 12 new confirmed cases, all of which were imported from abroad (5 cases in Hebei, 2 cases in Tianjin, 2 cases in Guangdong, 2 cases in Shaanxi, 1 case in Fujian);
44 new cases were cured and discharged from hospital on the same day, 1478 close contacts were released from medical observation, and 3 cases of severe illness were reduced from the previous day.
212 confirmed cases (including 2 cases of severe illness) and 3 suspected cases from overseas. A total of 2402 confirmed cases, a total of 2190 cases cured out of hospital, no deaths.
As of 2400 hours on August 22, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported that there were 422 confirmed cases (of which 16 were serious cases), a total of 79,895 cases were cured and discharged from hospital, 4,634 cumulative deaths were reported, 84,951 confirmed cases were reported, and 3 suspected cases were reported. A total of 810,959 close contacts were traced and 13,730 close contacts were still under medical observation.
31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 15 new cases of asymptomatic infection (all imported from abroad);
received a total of 5190 confirmed cases from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Of these,
4,657 cases (3,974 discharges, 76 deaths), 46 cases (46 discharges) in the Macao Special Administrative Region, and 487 cases (457 discharges and 7 deaths) in
regions were reported.
