Health Care Commission: 24 new confirmed 14 cases are imported from abroad

From 00:24 on August 24th, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 14 new confirmed cases, all of which were imported from abroad (4 cases in Sichuan, 3 cases in Guangdong, 2 cases in Shanghai, 2 cases in Shaanxi, 1 case in Tianjin, 1 case in Hebei, 1 case in Liaoning);
36 new cases were cured and discharged from hospital on the same day, 1,294 close contacts were released from medical observation, and 4 fewer serious cases were reported than the previous day.
219 confirmed cases (of which 3 are serious cases) and 2 suspected cases have been imported from abroad. A total of 2432 confirmed cases, a total of 2213 cases of cured discharge, no deaths.
As of 24 hours on August 24, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported that there were 386 confirmed cases (of which 10 were serious cases), 79961 cases had been cured and discharged from hospital, 4634 cumulative deaths had been reported, 84,981 confirmed cases had been reported and 2 suspected cases had been reported. A total of 812,268 close contacts were traced, and 12,370 close contacts were still under medical observation.
31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 16 new cases of asymptomatic infection (all imported from abroad);
received a total of 5224 confirmed cases from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Of these,
4,691 cases (4,052 discharges, 77 deaths), 46 cases (46 discharges) and 487 cases (457 discharges and 7 deaths) in the
Regions were reported.
