January 5, 0-24 hours, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 32 new confirmed cases, of which 9 cases were imported from abroad (3 in Guangdong, 3 in Shaanxi, 2 in Shanghai, 1 case in Tianjin), 23 cases of local cases (20 cases in Hebei, 1 case in Beijing, 1 case in Liaoning, 1 case in Heilongjiang);
21 new cases were cured and discharged from hospital on the same day, 784 close contacts were released from medical observation, and the number of serious cases increased by 1 from the previous day.
285 confirmed cases (of which 4 are severe cases) and 2 suspected cases have been imported from outside China. A total of 4348 confirmed cases, a total of 4063 cases of cured discharge, no deaths.
As of 2400 hours on January 5, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported that there were 443 confirmed cases (of which 14 were serious cases), 82,138 cases had been cured and discharged from hospital, 4,634 cumulative deaths had been reported, 87,215 confirmed cases had been reported and 3 suspected cases had been reported. A total of 912,596 close contacts were traced and 17,736 close contacts were still under medical observation.
