Health Care Commission: 8 new confirmed 33 cases, including 17 cases in the mainland

January 8th, 0-24 hours, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 33 new confirmed cases, of which 16 cases were imported from abroad (Shanghai 7 cases, Liaoning 4 cases, Guangdong 2 cases, Jiangsu 1 case, Fujian 1 case, Shandong 1 case), 17 local cases (Hebei 14 cases, Liaoning 3 cases);
19 new cases were cured and discharged from hospital on the same day, 617 close contacts were removed from medical observation, and 3 more serious cases were reported than the previous day.
281 confirmed cases (of which 5 are serious cases) and 1 suspected case has been imported from abroad. A total of 4391 confirmed cases, a total of 4110 cases of cured discharge, no deaths.
As of 2400 hours on January 8, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported that there were 535 confirmed cases (of which 16 were serious cases), 82,195 cases had been cured and discharged from hospital, 4634 cumulative deaths had been reported, 87,364 confirmed cases had been reported, and 1 suspected case had been reported. A total of 922,790 close contacts were traced and 25,414 close contacts were still under medical observation.
31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 38 new cases of asymptomatic infection (21 cases imported from abroad);
received a total of 10023 confirmed cases from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Of these, 9,152 cases (8307 cases and 155 deaths) were discharged from the
Special Administrative Region), 46 cases (46 cases of discharge) were discharged from the Macao Special Administrative Region, and 825 cases (714 cases of discharge and 7 deaths) were reported in the
regions.
