Health Commission: 23 new confirmed cases and 11 local cases

From 0-24 o'clock on May 31, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 23 new confirmed cases, including 12 imported cases (Shanghai 7 cases, Guangdong 2 cases, Sichuan 2 cases, Jiangsu 1 case), 11 local cases (all in Guangdong); no new deaths; 1 new suspected case, imported from abroad (Inner Mongolia).

On the same day, 14 new cases were cured and discharged, and 456 close contacts were released from medical observation.

There are currently 289 confirmed cases imported from abroad (including 3 severe cases) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on May 31, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are 337 confirmed cases (including 6 severe cases), 86,149 cured and discharged cases, and 4,636 deaths.

31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 15 new cases of asymptomatic infections, of which 13 were imported from abroad and 2 were from the local area (both in Guangdong); 3 cases were converted to confirmed cases on the same day (2 were imported from abroad) ); 21 cases of medical observation were released on the same day (all imported from abroad); 391 cases of asymptomatic infection were still under medical observation (356 cases imported from abroad).

A total of 20,403 confirmed cases have been notified from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
