Recently, Fang Qianfeng, a researcher at the Institute of Solid State Physics, Hefei Institute of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has made progress in the research on internal friction of recrystallization behavior of metal materials.
Plastic deformation is an important means to improve the mechanical properties (such as strength and hardness) of metal materials
In view of this, the researchers studied the recrystallization behavior of deformed pure aluminum during the continuous heating process, and found that the recrystallization internal friction peak shifted to high temperature with the increase of heating rate, but was independent of the test frequency; using the Kissinger equation (Fig.
The method established in this study based on the continuous heating internal friction measurement technology to determine the recrystallization temperature of metal materials only requires three or even two continuous heating internal friction measurements, that is, only three or two samples, which is more than the classical isothermal method.
Relevant research work is supported by the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Hefei Research Institute President's Fund
