Henan Hengtong Chemical with an annual output of 120,000 tons of biodegradable plastics project was completed

On October 13, the completion ceremony of Henan Hengtong Chemical Group's biodegradable plastic (PB A T) project with an annual output of 120,000 tons was held in Jiyuan City, which is the first PBAT project
in Henan and the largest domestic capacity.

Wang Xiaofei, vice mayor of Jiyuan City, said that as the largest biodegradable plastic project completed at one time in the industry, it will provide raw material guarantee for white pollution control in Henan Province and even the whole country, will further enrich the product structure of enterprises, promote the transformation and upgrading of enterprises, produce good economic, environmental and social benefits, play a good demonstration and leading role in the development of Jiyuan new materials industry in the direction of high-end, green and environmental protection, and inject new impetus
into the construction of Jiyuan new materials strong city.

Duan Tongsheng, president of Henan Plastics Association, pointed out that an important bottleneck restricting the development of the degradable plastics industry in Henan Province and even the whole country is: foreign epidemics are still severe, domestic epidemics are distributed at multiple points, the cost of import and export goods is increasing, and the supply of raw materials is insufficient, resulting in high domestic prices and low market acceptance of downstream products, which seriously affects the popularization and promotion
of the degradable plastics industry.
In particular, PBAT modified materials, which are the main raw materials for degradable plastic products, have basically not formed a scale
in Henan Province.

Data show that in 2021, Hengtong Chemical Group will achieve a total operating income of 5.
