On February 1, Hengli Petrochemical officially signed a contract with an annual output of 300,000 tons of PBS biodegradable plastics project.

With the full implementation of the most stringent "plastic restriction order", the country continues to upgrade plastic pollution control measures and efforts.

Kanghui Petrochemical, a subsidiary of Hengli Petrochemical, began to cooperate with Dalian University of Technology as early as August 2019 to independently develop the production formula of "PBS-type biodegradable polyester new material".

PBS is a new generation of fully biodegradable material, which can be prepared from petroleum or bio-fermentation.
PBS has excellent degradation performance, good biocompatibility and heat resistance, and has a wide range of applications in the fields of packaging materials for catering, foam packaging materials, daily necessities bottles, agricultural films, pesticides and fertilizer slow-release materials.
