    Sinochem News News Recently, the creation and industrial application project of high-yield olefin cracking technology led by Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Research Institute and jointly undertaken by Engineering Construction Co.

    The project adopts Olefin Catalytic Cracking (OCC), an original technology independently developed by Sinopec to efficiently convert low-value olefin resources to propylene and ethylene


    This project is the first time to synthesize a fully crystalline molecular sieve catalyst with preferential growth of crystal planes.


    In addition, the new generation of high-yield OCC technology was successfully applied in the 90,000-ton/year industrial plant of Lihongxin and achieved stable operation, realizing efficient integration with the methanol-to-olefins (MTO) plant, reducing the alcohol consumption of the MTO plant by 10%.
