The reporter learned from the recent press conference of the Anhui Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment that Anhui Province has continued to carry out in-depth investigation and rectification of "scattered and polluted" enterprises.
Of the 17,249 "scattered and polluted" enterprises that were investigated in the early stage, 16,666 have been rectified.
At the press conference, Luo Hong, deputy director of the Anhui Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, said that Anhui Province, based on fighting the iconic battle of pollution prevention and control, has carried out various ecological and environmental law enforcement actions, such as the investigation and remediation of "scattered and polluted" enterprises.

In the investigation and remediation of "scattered and polluted" enterprises, Anhui Province, on the basis of 2018, conducted re-inspection, cleanup and remediation.
A total of 17,249 "scattered and polluted" enterprises were found, and 16,666 have been rectified.
During the rectification of the “three phosphorus” industry, a comprehensive inspection of 24 phosphate mines, phosphorus-related production enterprises, and phosphogypsum warehouses across the province revealed 9 environmental problems, and rectification plans have been formulated and implemented.
In the "Waste Removal Action", 1,788 solid* environmental problems were discovered in 2018 and 1,782 were rectified; in 2019, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment assigned a total of 5 batches of 352 suspected problems, and all completed on-site inspections.
Among the 119 problems that were verified as true , 107 rectifications have been completed.
According to Luo Hong, Anhui Province continues to maintain a high-pressure situation of environmental supervision and law enforcement, and promotes rectification of prominent environmental issues.
From January to August this year, the province implemented 1,872 environmental administrative penalties, with a total fine of 115.
