Botulismis caused by the neurotoxin produced by the botulinum bacterium (heating to 80 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes or more can destroy this toxin).
Clostridium botulinum can produce spores.
It is a gram-positive, rod-shaped anaerobic bacteria that is ubiquitous in the soil.
Although boiling for 10 minutes or more can destroy the toxin, higher temperatures are required to inactivate these spores.
According to the location of neurotoxin, botulism can be divided into three types: food-borne, wounded and intestinal (infant and adult).
