    The Center for Food Safety (CFS) received a notification from the European Commission’s Food and Feed Rapid Alert System last month, stating that a piece of frozen swordfish exported from Vietnam contained excessive mercury (commonly known as mercury)
    .


    Immediately after receiving the report, the center stepped up testing of swordfish products on the market, and detected three types of swordfish fillet and swordfish steak imported from Vietnam with mercury content exceeding the legal standard
