On the evening of December 4, the operation and maintenance personnel of Hunan Electric Power Maintenance Company recorded the infrared temperature measurement data
of the equipment transmitted by the inspection robot in real time through the monitoring screen of the main control room in the Shaoyang 500 kV Changyangpu substation.
In order to cope with the possible freezing this winter and next spring, State Grid Hunan Electric Power actively introduced inspection robots to ensure the safety and stability
    of the core power grid.

The application scope and intensity of high-tech inspection robots in Hunan main power grid are constantly expanding
    .
Last year, only one station of the 500 kV substation in Hunan was equipped with an inspection robot system, and it was in the trial stage; This year, the main power grid of Hunan has 500 kV Changdegang City, Yiyang Fuxing, Changsha Shaping, Yueyang Kunshan, Shaoyang Changyangpu 5 substations using inspection robots for daily and professional inspection, in addition, 500 kV Zhuzhou Guting, Xiangtan Heling, Yongzhou Zongyuan 3 substation robots are also planned to be put into use
before the end of the year ice and snow period.
Through scientific and reasonable balanced distribution, the 500 kV substations in major cities in Hunan will be basically equipped with robot inspection and monitoring during the ice disaster warning period, covering the core area of Changzhutan and important antifreeze and thawing ice cities
    in southern and northeastern Hunan.

According to the relevant professionals of Hunan Electric Power Maintenance Company, the inspection robot can realize all-weather, all-round and fully autonomous intelligent inspection and monitoring of the power grid of 17 500 kV substations in Hunan Province, and can still carry out equipment inspection and live detection in extremely harsh ice and snow weather, and can monitor the ice conditions that may occur in the substation in real time; Compared with conventional personnel inspection, the robot can improve the accuracy of equipment defects that are difficult to manually detect such as voltage heating, and effectively improve the reliability
    of ice melting equipment detection.
