This is a multicenter retrospective cohort study of newly diagnosed UC patients with proctitis and left-sided colon inflammation

Biopsies of at least 2 colon segments (endoscopically inflamed and non-inflamed mucosa) were independently assessed by 2 pathologists

 

A total of 93 treatment-naïve patients with UC were included in this study with a median follow-up of 44 months
