    [Properties] This product is fusiform or cylindrical, with a length of 3 to 15 cm and a diameter of 1 to 2 cm

    【Character identification characteristics】

    (1) The main root is spindle-shaped or cylindrical, with a grayish-yellow surface, with sparse and intermittent thick horizontal lines and obvious longitudinal wrinkles


    (2) There are 2 to 3 branches in the lower part of the main root


    (3) Adventitious root (taro) is growing on the rhizome


    (4) The fibrous roots grow on the branch roots, which are small, slender, clear and undisturbed, and often have obvious wart-like protrusions
