    Notoginseng NOTOGINSENG RADIX ET RHIZOMA

    [Source] This product is the dried roots and rhizomes of Panax notoginseng (Burk.
    ) FHChen, a plant in the Araliaceae family

    .

    [Properties] The taproot is conical or cylindrical, with a length of 1 to 6 cm and a diameter of 1 to 4 cm
    .
    The surface is gray-brown or gray-yellow, with intermittent vertical wrinkles and root marks

    .
    There is a stem mark on the top and a tumor-like protrusion around it

    .
    The weight is solid, the section is gray-green, yellow-green or gray-white, and the woods are slightly arranged radially

    Smell, bitter and sweet

    The ribs are cylindrical or conical, with a length of 2 to 6 cm, a diameter of about 0.
