The impact of auditory stimulation on the brain, especially from the perspective of brain networks, can reveal how the interactions between different brain regions in patients with chronic tinnitus spread and integrate.

    diagnosis

Tinnitus is an auditory hallucination perception that produces tones, hissing, or humming in the absence of any physical sound source.

Traditional tinnitus treatment mainly focuses on the auditory area, while the non-auditory area also changes its function when tinnitus occurs.

All experimental operations in this study have been reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee of China Electronic Science and Technology University.

Acoustic stimulation experiment process and data collection

Use the EEG data before and after the resting state EEG acquisition to construct the corresponding EEG network.

    EEG data analysis program

As the stimulation progresses, after long-term stimulation, the brain network performance can be improved by more than 5%.

EEG network analysis shows that the network pattern has been improved during the acoustic stimulation process.

In short, the EEG network provides a relatively reliable quantitative analysis method for the objective evaluation of the clinical diagnosis and treatment of tinnitus.
