    On November 9, 2022, the Singapore Food Authority (SFA) announced that Matrix Freight Forwarders Pte Ltd and its director, Velayudham Anbarasan, were fined US$
    17,500 each for illegally importing meat and seafood products.
     
    On 28 September 2021, officials from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of the Air Cargo Command Changi Air Transport Centre found that the company imported meat and meat products from Indonesia without a valid import license, and the case was subsequently referred to the Singapore Food Authority for investigation

    An investigation by the Singapore Food Board found that the company had illegally imported more than 350 kilograms of meat and seafood products
    from Indonesia.
    Illegal goods have now been confiscated and destroyed
