The Ecological Environmental Protection Regulations of Xinjiang’s first development zone-the "Regulations on Ecological Environmental Protection of the Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone of Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture" were recently promulgated and implemented in the Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone of Xinjiang.
It is reported that there are 29 articles in the "Regulations" that require Zhundong Development Zone and Jimusaer County, Qitai County, and Mulei County to establish a regional ecological risk prevention and environmental emergency response joint working mechanism to jointly do a good job in regional pollution control and ecology.
    Environmental protection work.
The "Regulations" stipulate that the entry of "three highs" projects is strictly prohibited, encourages and supports enterprises to develop circular economy, low-carbon economy, implement cleaner production, and promote cooperation among enterprises in the comprehensive utilization of resources and industries, so as to achieve efficient use of resources and recycle.
The "Regulations" also further clarify the management measures for air, noise, solids, construction, pollution discharge, and nature protection.
Ren Jianpin, Director of the Management Committee of Zhundong Development Zone, stated that Zhundong Development Zone is a large-scale national coal, coal, electricity, and coal chemical industry base.
The chemical, smelting, and coal chemical industry systems are gradually taking shape, with exhaust gas, waste water, solid waste, ash, and dust.
