According to reports, in 2015, Gansu Mobile will add more than 10,000 4G base stations, and the mobile 4G network will cover all urban areas, county towns, townships, scenic spots and more than 50% of administrative villages in the province, while achieving continuous coverage of 4G networks on major highways in the province, and more than 5 million
users.
On May 15, a media symposium held by Gansu Mobile revealed that Gansu Mobile's 4G users exceeded 2 million, achieving continuous coverage of urban areas, counties and townships in the province, hot spot coverage in key rural areas and continuous coverage of Lantian, Lanbai, Lanhai, Lanlin and airport highways, and all scenic spots above 3A level in the province also achieved full coverage
of 4G signals.
At the same time, mobile optical fiber will spread throughout the cities and rural areas
of 14 cities and prefectures in the province by the end of the year.
In order to actively respond to the "Broadband China" strategy proposed by the state, Gansu Mobile has rapidly promoted the construction of optical fiber broadband network, taking optical fiber broadband as the main means to strengthen wired and wireless collaborative coverage, and has now achieved mobile broadband coverage in urban communities, universities, cluster markets, townships and rural areas, and has covered 1.
5 million users in optical fiber to the home, achieving the access goals of 100m in urban areas and 8m in rural areas, and the Internet speed of urban and rural users has increased by 10 times and 2 times
respectively compared with last year.
