A few days ago, foreign media reported that global sales of fuel cell passenger vehicles hit a record high in 2019, with more than 7,500 units (an increase of 90% over the same period last year), of which South Korea's hydrogen fuel cell vehicle sales jumped to the
first place in the world.
According to statistics, by the end of 2019, South Korea's cumulative exports of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles reached 1,724 units, nearly doubling
year-on-year.
The penetration rate in South Korea also increased sixfold year-on-year, exceeding the 5,000 mark for the first time

As a result, South Korea's hydrogen fuel cell vehicle sales in 2019 ranked first
in the world.
From the perspective of car brands, in 2019, Hyundai NEXO occupied 87% of the Korean market, becoming the absolute main force pushing South Korea, and at the same time, the brand's global sales reached 4,818 vehicles, ranking first
in the world.
It was followed by the Toyota Mirai with global sales of 2,407 units, more than 200 fewer than the record year of 2017; Again for the Honda Clarity, global sales of 349 units

While the fuel cell passenger vehicle market is expanding rapidly, in terms of infrastructure, the South Korean government has built a total of 34 hydrogen refueling stations, which is smaller than that of Japan, Germany and the United States, and the number of new vehicles built throughout the year is 20
