In April 2015, the monthly production volume of
coatings
decreased by 4.95 percent year-on-year, the first negative growth in 13 months, while the cumulative production of coatings in January-April increased by only 3.9 percent year-on-year. According to the latest data, in May 2015, the total amount of paint production nationwide was 1.4003 million tons, down 0.78% YoY, and negative growth has been again since the previous month, while the cumulative total production of paint in China in January-May was 6.2384 million tons, down to 0.94% YoY.
