Export demand for shrimp was weak in November, with high inventories in most major markets and a sharp contraction
in offtakes.
Among them, Ecuador exported 47,900 tons of white shrimp to China, an increase of only 3% over the same period last year; Exports to the US of 16,500 tonnes, down 3% from the same period last year; Exports from the UK and France fell 25% y-o-y to 591t and 1,924t respectively
.

In the first 11 months of this year, Ecuador's cumulative exports reached 971,000 tons, much higher than the same period last year, with a year-on-year increase of 28%.

Ecuador's exports to the Chinese market reached 538,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 55%.
