In response to the surge in market demand, in April this year, Danimer Scientific said it would invest $700 million to build a new PHA factory in Georgia

The company completed its first commercial-scale plant in Kentucky in March 2020 with a capacity of 9,000 t/y

The new plant in Georgia was originally set to have an annual capacity of 57,000 tons

Currently, the PHA project is in the pre-construction engineering stage and is expected to be put into production in Q1 2022

Danimer Scientific's representative product is Nodax™ PHA, a 100% biodegradable, renewable product based on canola or soybean oil
