According to the Dutch New Energy Research (DNE) report, the Dutch solar market added 658 MW in the first half of 2018, with impressive growth
    in all its segments.

Data from the Dutch Solar Quarterly shows that most of the new installations are in the commercial sector, and ground-based installations increased by 60%
in the first half of this year compared to last year's full-year figures.

DNE said it expects further growth in installations in the second half of the year
    .
Under a long-term contract with ENGIE Netherlands, developer ib Vogt recently connected the largest solar park in the Netherlands, a 54.
5 MW project in the south of the country
    .

The country continues to support solar energy, with plans to issue green bonds
worth up to €5 billion next year.
The SDE+ program supports large-scale solar and other renewable energy sources
    .

In the first half of this year, the Netherlands imported more than 1 billion euros worth of solar panels through Europe, with Vietnam being its largest source of imports
    , the report said.
Imports from Mexico, Thailand and South Korea all increased by more than 100%
compared to the first half of 2017.

Given the expiration of market barriers to Chinese module imports, the share of countries importing modules to Europe may change significantly
    .

"The expectation for the future is that China's market share will recover
    .
We have already seen announcements announcing large contracts in the Dutch market," said
    Rolf Heynen, CEO of DNE.
