According to Indian food safety officials, 12 kilograms of the seized tea powder was found in a vendor's shop in Bodenur, Madras province, and another 440 kilograms were seized in the vendor's home.
The total value of these tea leaves is 90,000 rupees.

At present, Indian food safety officials have taken samples of tea powder and sent them to government food laboratories for testing.
