Sinochem News recently, Platts Energy released a report saying that India's PTA demand may be back on track in the second half of this year after experiencing a downturn for about two months

Platts, citing sources, reported that India's polyester industry has been in a weak state as the downstream textile industry has been hit by inflationary pressures and rising raw material prices, causing weakness in the PTA industry

Sources said that until the new PTA capacity is implemented, most of India's new demand will rely on imports
