Indian Oil Corporation said it will complete the final stage of the Ennore LNG pipeline, which will connect Ennore and Ramnad
, by February 2022.
Petronas Executive Director P Jayadevan said about 85 percent of the work is done on the 1,444-kilometre LNG pipeline laid by the Indian Oil Corporation Pipeline Division
.
He added: "We have now completed the construction of the main trunk gas pipeline from Ennore to Manali and have begun commissioning, with the third phase
expected to be completed in February 2022.

The LNG pipeline, starting from this terminal in Ennore, will run alongside the existing pipelines in Chennai, Trić, Madurai and reach all these major cities
.
According to the plan, the main pipeline will also be connected by a branch line to all major commercial and industrial clusters
in Kanchipuram, Asanur, Puducherry, Sriperumbudur, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam.
The pipeline will also have a separate loop route through Tiruwalu to Bangalore
.
LNG production lines along the route will cover three states and 21 regions
.
