It is understood that India's Ministry of Water Transport has been working to find a transport solution that is not only eco-friendly, but also economically viable for the transportation

After a feasibility study by researchers from CUSAT University in India, the construction project was finally undertaken by Indian shipyard NavAlt

Now the solar-powered ferry, which can carry 75 passengers, has entered the final testing phase and is expected to be launched in August
