The Indonesian Business Daily reported on May 24 that the Indonesian government announced an agreement with the EU on cassava products imported from Indonesia to Europe .
The EU will impose a 6% tariff on cassava products imported from Indonesia with the customs number HS0714, and the import quota is 165,000 tons.

The Indonesian ambassador to the EU stated that the 6% tax rate will make Indonesian cassava products more competitive in the EU market and encourage more Indonesian cassava exporters to expand into the EU market
