Indonesia is expected to increase geothermal power generation by 95 MW by the end of 2018, with Pertamina geothermal energy and 40 MW Sorik Marapi geothermal power plant adding 55 MW of Lumut Balai Unit 1
    .
Indonesia's geothermal power capacity is expected to increase by 95 MW
    .

The geothermal director of the Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Bureau of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said that as of last September, the installed capacity of PLTP in Indonesia was 1,948.

"The plan is to add another 95 megawatts
    in December," he said.

This extra capacity is said to come from two geothermal projects
    .
First, the geothermal power plant of Lumut Balai Unit 1, developed by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energi, has a capacity of 55 MW
    .
Secondly, the 40 MW Sorik Marapi geothermal power plant developed by PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power Generation
    .
As a result, the country's geothermal power generation capacity will reach 2,043.
5 MW by the end of the year
    .

Earlier, PGE President and General Manager said that the commissioning of PLTP Lumut Balai 1 is scheduled for October
