According to data released by Indonesian Customs recently, Indonesia’s total natural rubber exports in the first half of 2022 were 1359 million tons, down 48% year-on-year, slightly higher than the same period in 2020, but significantly lower than the same period in 2019 and 2021.

In 2022, Indonesia's aging tree structure and good palm yields lead to labor diversion, which will lead to a decline in Indonesia's natural rubber productio.

Among various categories, standard rubber is the main type of natural rubber exported from Indonesia, accounting for 95% of Indonesia's total natural rubber exports; other types of rubber, such as tobacco sheet rubber, mixed rubber, and compound rubber, account for 5%, all showing a downward tren.

Indonesia is one of the world's major producers and suppliers of natural rubber, with production accounting for about 23% of the world's total supply in 2021.
