Add the neutralized aqueous formaldehyde solution to the sample and measure its turbidity and color after heating to dissolve it

a) Formaldehyde water dissolution test device: as shown in Figure 2;

b) Air cooling tube: a glass tube with an inner diameter of 6mm and a length of 500mm;

a) On a tray balance, weigh 40g of the sample and place it in a 200mL Erlenmeyer flask;

b) Add 100 mL of aqueous formaldehyde solution whose pH has been adjusted to 8.

c) Install the air cooling pipe and thermometer on the 200mL Erlenmeyer flask;

d) Heating while stirring in a water bath;

e) Dissolve within 10 minutes from reaching 80°C, and immediately perform the measurement of the turbidity of the sample solution in accordance with the provisions of Appendix A (standard appendix);

f) Similarly, in accordance with the provisions of Appendix A (standard appendix), measure the chromaticity of the sample solution, expressed in Hazen units
