On December 26, the 600,000 tons of sulfuric acid and 400,000 tons of TSP (heavy superphosphate) project undertaken by a Chinese company held a mechanical completion ceremony on the 26th in Medilla, Gafsa Province, Tunisia.
Among them, the sulfuric acid project with a contract value of 700 million yuan is the largest industrial general contract project undertaken by a Chinese enterprise in Tunisia in recent years.
These two projects were constructed by Donghua Engineering Technology Co.

Tunisian Chemical Group, the owner of Tunisia, is Tunisia's largest phosphate processing and export company.
At the completion ceremony, Tunisian Chemical Group President Uanahi Wanasa highly praised the excellent projects completed by China.
He believed that these two projects are the continuation of the cooperation between Arab countries and China in the chemical field in recent decades, and the two sides will cooperate in the future.

Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia Wang Wenbin said at the ceremony that China will further strengthen cooperation with Tunisia in various fields and actively participate in Tunisia's economic construction.
Cui Congquan, general manager of Donghua Technology, expressed the hope that after the project is put into production, Tunisia’s ability to earn foreign exchange through exports will be enhanced and the local economy will be developed.
Tunisia is rich in phosphate, and the processing and export of phosphate ore is an important local industry.
The two projects undertaken by Donghua Technology are expected to be put into operation in 2020, and are expected to play an important role in increasing local employment, improving local pollution caused by backward technology, and increasing Tunisia’s export earnings.
