On April 29, the innovative flu drug Xofluza (chemical generic name: Mabaloxavir) was officially approved by the China National Medical Products Administration for the treatment of acute uncomplicated patients aged 12 years and above.
Influenza patients, including those who are at high risk of flu complications.

On the same day, The Paper reporter learned from Roche Pharmaceuticals, the drug manufacturer, that Mabaloxavir is currently the first and only single-dose oral drug approved for the treatment of influenza in the world.

Only a single oral medication can shorten the relief time of flu symptoms by more than one day, and benefit from treatment for previously healthy flu patients without underlying diseases and patients at high risk of flu complications.

Prior to this, this innovative flu drug also appeared in the third CIIE.

Influenza is a common acute respiratory infectious disease with serious consequences.
Patients may suffer from complications such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinusitis, leading to hospitalization or even death, posing a major threat to public health.
