    Last week, the "new technology of coal-based synthesis gas carbon monoxide conversion, energy saving and water reduction" passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements organized by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation


    The project was jointly completed by Qingdao Lianxin Catalytic Materials Co.


    The appraisal committee also believes that the main innovations of this technology are in the following three aspects.


    The second is to develop key oxide additives to inhibit the side reaction of methanation


    The third is to establish the macro kinetic equation of the shift reaction, which can accurately calculate the catalyst loading and avoid the over-temperature problem of the shift furnace caused by the excess catalyst loading.


    According to reports, carbon monoxide sulfur-tolerant shift technology is an important technology for producing hydrogen by converting excess carbon monoxide in crude synthesis gas with steam under the action of a catalyst


    At present, the technology has been applied to more than 60 sets of coal chemical plants in 44 companies
